Design Brief

Havilah Hostel are a not for profit organisation providing aged care services in Maryborough. Havilah purchased a former school site in the heart of Maryborough and proceeded to develop a master plan incorporating Independent Living Units and Residential Aged Care. In 2010 Four18 the first of four stages commenced detailed design with the last stage completed in 2014. The final development mix incorporated a 30 bed nursing home and 46 two and three bedroom ILU’s all within walking distance of the town centre. The heritage listed school house was fully refurbished and provides community services to the residents. A timber and glass linkage building provides a café style dining room for the residents to congregate.
